💙 Boston Marathon recap!! 💛

Finish time: 3:51. In my new age group (50-55 F) it's actually a Boston qualifying time! so BQd in Boston. 🤣

Well, that was harder than I thought it would be! The whole time I was running I thought: what the heck am I doing and why?!?!

Because the crowds were so big and so enthusiastic, it felt like I was in the final mile of the race, all 26 miles. Which made it feel like the race went on forever!

I walked twice on the hills plus at every water station. It was hot and I stopped to fill my handheld water bottle every two miles.

Just when I thought I wanted to walk to the end, The last few miles through Boston had some pretty nice tail wind gusts, propelling me to the finish.

The race is so well organized. I can't even imagine corralling and fueling 30,000 runners. Its insane.

This was a bucket list race for sure, but probably don't think I need to do it twice. 🤣

So grateful for @waderoskell for being there. He's my biggest fan and supporter. ❤️

Not sure what's next, but I'm already itching for another goal!

@waderoskell is the best at organizing an overnight river trip. He thinks of everything from food, games, gear, permits, guides, and more.
Big shout out to the hero of the trip, TJ who rescued a boat that flipped and got stuck against a wall. He was the only one that saw it happen and went straight through a rapid into recovery mode.
