Mesquite Soccer and Valley of Fire

We were able to spend the last few days in Mesquite Nevada to join TJ and his Arsenal soccer team in a tournament.  I was SO GRATEFUL to be in nice weather.  The first day we arrived, there was a game right away.  Our team lost 1-0.  The next day, the game wasn’t until 5pm, so Wade and I went in search of a local hike, and ended up driving to The Valley of Fire state park, Nevada.  There were three hikes we did.  They were OK. Pretty, but we’re also super biased and think nothing can compare to the Utah state/National Parks.

We hiked the White Dome, the Fire wave, and the Mouse’s Tank. Those three seemed to be the most popular ones. They each only took us about 30 minutes to see it all, but I liked it that way!  Wade is more of a “destination” kind of hiker, but I’m happy just wandering in a loop.

The team this year has been wonderful!  We’ve loved the boys and the coach.  They all get along really well!

Erica stayed home for ballet, and because she didn’t want to go.  But she did get good news on Friday, that she made the Lehi Dance Company team! We are so proud of her.
