Yesterday I brought my 50 pound chemistry book to the gym. While on the stair stepper, I read the entire chapter. Normally this task would take hours, but somehow, while working out, connections are being made in my brain! I completely understood the chapter. PLUS was able to memorize 10 reactions on how to turn alcohols and alkanes into alkenes, and back again! Yesterday was the test…I feel like I did well (but I don’t know yet).
Today I spent 30 minutes on the stair master (I’m old school.. I prefer it to the elliptical, and its always available). Then 30 minutes on an incline on the treadmill. Then a few short strength training exercises (lunges and pushups). While working out I read this:
I’m pretty good at ignoring the foul language, but I need to read and re-read this to get motivated to cut out diet soda. There are several pages touting the harmfulness of Aspartame. It should be enough for me to swear it off forever. It does work for a few weeks, then I get lazy and forget. I just need to read it more often!
Today’s breakfast and lunch menu plan:
- Banana
- Oatmeal
- Applesauce
- Potato soup
- Salad
