Daily Meals


I was scheduled to work today. (Generally I will work if Wade has the day off).  So I got up and was at the gym by 5:30.  I did 30 minutes on the Eliptical machine.  I had my chemistry book in front of the display, and did not realize for at least 10 minutes of it was still flashing “Push enter to start”.  I didn’t even notice there wasn’t resistance. Lame I know.  then I spent about 10 minutes on weights.

On the way home, I stopped to get milk. If I didn’t, Wade would go to the store while I’m at work, and he always spends more than me. I was in a hurry, so breakfast was on the go. The smoothie was soy milk (I think the extra protein holds me over a little longer), strawberries, blueberries, and Amazing Grass.  The fresh strawberry was just because it looked delicious.

I worked for about 3 hours.  We did a health screening for the Salt Lake City Fire department.  so I packed a lunch and left it in my car. If I don’t leave my food in the car, I usually eat it at work, and then I’m starving on the way home.  So it was nice to come back to this when I was finished working.


I had whole wheat sandwich with blackberry spread (pure fruit), soy nuts, almonds, raisins, an apple, and a granola bar.  You would think that’s plenty of food, and it is. But something about coming home from work makes me walk straight to the pantry.  So I had a second sandwich! Totally did not need that.

My husband must have taken the kids to his mom’s cause they aren’t here right now. They should be back any minute though.  We have pack meeting and a gymnastics trade (clean equipment for tuition) still tonight.
