If I could have a dime for all the times I said to myself, “If I could just get organized, I’d be able to get more things done!” Every time I “organize something, It ends up in disarray a few days later. It’s hopeless. Why can’t I have a house that stays clean and organized! …

Seeking Balance
One thing I struggle with is balance in my life. When I am in the middle of a project, I generally can’t do anything else. My house doesn’t get cleaned, dinner doesn’t get made, and there are no clean clothes. Luckily, my husband does laundry on his days off without complaining, even if there are …
Leftover Taco Soup
We never made it to pick apples yesterday. I have a couple of large plate orders to fill, and it literally takes me all day! Although, I had a bit of caramel corn (that I made for a church activity), I still didn’t eat any bread. A recap of yesterday: Breakfast: oatmeal, applesauce, apples, and …
Back on the mountain
This was the second time for Wade and I, and the third time for the kids. We went back to Park City for their special deal of getting a lesson or lift ticket for $25 (including equipment rental) if you are first time skiiers… which we are! Wade is really good at snowboarding. Erica is …

When all your kids are school age, and your husband works an un-traditional schedule, you can do fun things, like go snowboarding on a weekday! We signed up for a snowboarding lesson through Park City. It was a gorgeous day, probably 40 degrees and blue skies. We had 5 people in our class. We learned …
Science Fair
This year I was a little more involved helping Nathan with his science fair project. I’m the type of mother who believed my kids should do their projects, homework, etc. on their own. I’m usually standing in the wings to assist, but they are capable, so I usually bow out and pursue other things.. like …
Keeping Track
I only slept 4 hours last night thinking about this blog. Normally, I’m an 8 + hour sleeper. Not last night. I kept thinking I need to keep a record for myself. I feel the need to document the things that keep me physically and mentally healthy. I feel the need to write, and in …
Arches and Halloween
We spent Thursday in Arche’s National Park! We had a fabulous tour of The Fiery Furnace, guided by a park ranger. We also did our own hike up to Delicate Arch. This year for Halloween we had an inmate, a baby, and a Star Wars Clone.
